SmartData — Big Data conference in St.Petersburg, October 21, 2017

The conference is devoted to Big Data world and technical aspects of data processing:

On October 21, 2017 the conference took place for the first time and welcomed more than 300 on-site and 60+ online visitors.

The conference featured The conference featured 17 talks in Russian in 3 parallel tracks. For those who had no possibility to visit St. Petersburg, the conference was broadcasted online.

Technical talks in 3 grades of hardcoreness were designed for advanced engineers and Data Science specialists. 17 experienced speakers not only held their talks, but also led the discussion areas afterwards.

"Do you know the feeling when you raise your hand to ask a question and the track owner announces: “There’s time left for one question only”. Of course, he doesn’t pick you to ask that question. And then the speaker disappears behind the doors of the speakers' room.

To avoid this, we organized special discussion areas: allocated space with flipcharts, seats and an opportunity to have a cup of coffee, where every speaker after holding a talk came to review the nuances of his lecture, exchange useful information and discuss the participants' own current projects."
